For an EP called Indestructible Object, it's interesting how the entire runtime is song about destructible things; psyches, relationships, jobs, wealth, and bugs.

Am I Awake? is probably one of my favorite tracks about Linnell, because, well, it's the dissociative credo. It's how I feel in my repeated, constant bouts of catatonia that I have. I love the music video by Paul & Mike Swiatek, which was a contest winner. I love the idea of music video contests? I adore the reverse synths on it, it feels like a level of formal experimentation that this era of TMBG doesn't really do. Your psyche? Destructible.

TMBG talks about work aversion a lot, and Memo To Human Resources is no stranger to that. It's about the kind of white-collar detachment that drives one to quit for the sake of their sanity, something that we've had to do a bunch over the last year. Your job? Destructible.

Au Contraire is, well, about poker, among other things. Your money? Destructible.

Ant is about someone crawling on you while you're asleep, and their gaining power to no avail, because they are a bug, and therefore destructible.

Caroline, No is a cover about a relationship. Say it with me now. Destructible.
