They Got Lost, being a compilation album, is something I don't have a lot to say about. I have a lot more to say about the production and sound of the album, which is strange because I usually care more about lyrics. At the same time, I do not have the musical ability to talk about those things! Oh well. What's an instrument.
Interestingly, the first three tracks (Rest Awhile, Truth In Your Words, On The Drag) have Mink Car style production, except they're really good. Funny, that! On The Drag is about a cool guy who sucks. Save Ferris.
I love the crunchy synths on Down To The Bottom Of The Sea, it's very reminiscent of early TMBG.
I love Robin's vocals on Words Are Like.
The Army's Tired Now is kind of a very abstract anti-war song, in the sense that it almost feels about the type of guy who's in the army reserves but insists he's a True Patriotâ„¢. Why did you join the army in the first place? Why does anyone join the army. Don't join the army, if you're reading this. Please.
The Oranges songs are literally promos. Whatever.
Disappointing Show. That is all.
